There are many things things in life that I am capable of doing well, but keeping plants alive is definitely not one of them.
Try as I might year after year, indoor plants and outdoor plants just don’t have any hope for survival under my care. I can kill a drought tolerant plant. Who does that?
Fortunately, there is hope for me and that comes by the way of faux plants. I’ve been buying Target’s faux potted plants and wreaths for several years and I’m never disappointed. In fact, their faux succulents look so good I was often asked by colleagues if they were real. They really are that amazing. I had a variation of the rectangular potted succulents that I bought back in 2016 (devastingly, I forgot to pack it up from my office when I resigned from my job 😞).
After a very brief jaunt through the faux plants at Target the other day, three very small children in tow, I was still really impressed with the quality and how realistic they look. the price points for most are pretty reasonable too.
Happy to report that those of us lacking green thumbs can still enjoy greenery inside and outside (outdoor faux plants are also a thing!) our homes without the heartache. 🪴
