Retailers have been rolling out their new spring collections! I think my favorite so far, just like in years past, is Target’s patio and outdoor collection. It’s just always so, so good!

After strolling through the aisles of Target’s new patio and outdoor collection I was feeling really inspired to round up a beautiful dream patio space for those warm summer days and nights. The french bistro style chair was my source of inspiration. Definitely thinking about purchasing those to replace a set I bought a few years.

Generally, I like rooms and spaces that have just a few, primarily neutral, colors but a mix of patterns to keep things interesting. The use of different materials also adds some interest to the space, too, like wood, various fabrics and metals. I incorporated these various materials into this patio inspiration board. Too much color overwhelms me, personally, so I generally try to steer clear of color-overload.

Aside from open air patios, I love a screened in porch. The furnishings in this post can easily transition from an open air to screened in space. With a screened in space you have the ability to add a few additional textiles like window treats or throws, without having to bring them back inside after each use, a fun light fixture (i.e. think pretty chandelier or ceiling fan) and other home accents that wouldn’t do well outdoors.

Are you in the market for patio furniture this year?
